WorkStar™ 440 - The Best Inspection Light on the Planet!
The Maxxeon WorkStar® 440 features a black, Type II anodized aluminum body and head, a rugged 12 inch PE coated flex neck and a tail on/off switch. Advanced electronics drive the LED with constant current, providing an excellent run-time of 1.5 hours with two AA alkaline batteries, with intermittent operation.
The tool feels solid in your hands. It has great balance without feeling front-heavy. The flex neck holds its shape, without drooping. There are 10 in of flex and 12 in of extra reach. A quality polyethylene (PE) tube coveres the flexible neck and protects it from dirt, grease and most solvents.
Easy to slip into tight places, the
head is very small, with a diameter
of less than 3/4". It tapers smoothly
down to the neck, so it doesn't snag
when extracting it from tight spaces.
Pumping out 90 lumens from the LUXEON® Rebel LED,
it is much brighter than the competition! The custom
designed orange peel reflector produces the ideal beam
for working in tight places.
The result is a beam with a nice center hot-spot and a very smooth and perfectly sized spill pattern for an inspection light.
Notice that both the hot-spot and spill are consistent, without
shadows or peaks. The beam pattern, at a distance of
6 inches, is 6 inches in diameter, with a 2 inch diameter hot-spot.
